Experienced in otolaryngology and cosmetic surgery, Paul Drago, MD currently serves in the South Carolina Department of Corrections as Medical Director and Otolaryngology Consultant. He previously practiced as a physician at Central Carolina Ear, Nose, Throat & Audiological Center PA, and Genesis ENT & Plastic Surgery, PLLC. A leader in his field, Dr. Paul Drago has delivered presentations on a wide range of subjects before the American Rhinological Association, the Lancaster Medical Society, the New York State Department of Social Services, and other organizations. He has also spoken about medical topics on several live radio broadcasts in South Carolina and North Carolina. Recently, he has delivered presentations focusing on anti-aging medicine for the NFL Retired Players Association and the Ballantyne Breakfast Club.
Dr. Drago completed his Bachelor of Science in Zoology at the University of Maryland in 1985. His undergraduate achievements include serving as a Pre-Medical Counselor and earning the President’s Scholarship Award. Continuing his education at the Ohio State University College of Medicine, he earned his Doctor of Medicine in 1990. Dr. Paul Drago went on to complete a postdoctoral internship in general surgery, a residency in otolaryngology.
In his personal life, Dr. Paul Drago actively participates in volunteer services in his local community. He currently serves as a Board Member of the Stewards of Christ Children’s Homeless Project and assists in feeding the homeless through the Charlotte Rescue Mission. Dr. Drago’s personal interests include theater, jazz, sports, and participating in triathlons. As a wine enthusiast, he holds a membership with the American Wine Society.
